ISLAND OF WOLVES:

It is a small islet of about 4.5 km² located northeast of the island of Fuerteventura. Separated by the Bocaina Strait, whose depth does not exceed 30 meters. The island can be seen clearly from Corralejo. Its name is due to the fact that in the past Mediterranean monk or friar seals (also known as sea lions) lived on the island, now in danger of extinction. Fishermen eliminated the species, as they thought its voracity was reducing marine resources in the area. Each of these animals needs between 30 and 40 kg of fish per day. Efforts are underway to reintroduce sea lions, despite the refusal of fishermen.

Concha Beach in Lobos. It is protected and forms the Islote de Lobos Natural Park. It is home to more than 130 plant species and several species of birds, highlighting the herring gull, the great bustard (at certain times of the year) and the Cory's shearwater. The seabed is an underwater reserve area and contains great ecological wealth.
Its maximum height is in La Caldera, 127 m.
